Ken Jacobs is the principal of Jacobs Communications Consulting, LLC, which helps public relations and related communications agencies grow and manage business, improve client service and client relations, and enhance staff performance, motivation and retention.  It does so via consulting, training and coaching.  He has some three decades of experience in developing, implementing and supervising award-winning marketing communications programs for such firms as Ogilvy & Mather Public Relations, Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart, Marina Maher Communications (MMC), Maloney & Fox and Lippe Taylor.

At Ogilvy, Ken led the consumer marketing group and became a trained brainstorm facilitator. While with MMC he founded and led the agency’s training program, MMC Masters, which was cited for excellence by the Holmes Report. Ken helped lead that agency’s new business efforts, which secured more than 20 new business wins in competitive shoot-outs over a three-year period.

Ken created and led the public relations launch of The One and Only Wonderbra, one of the top marketing successes of 1994, which was recently cited by PRWeek as one of the “Great moments in consumer PR that truly moved the needle.” It is one of the many products marketed to women for which he designed and led communications campaigns.

His programs have been honored with more than a dozen of the industry’s top awards, including the PRSA Silver Anvil, the CIPRA, SABRE, and PRSA-NY’s Big Apple and “Best of the Big Apple,” among others.

Ken graduated with honors from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, with a dual B.S. in public relations and speech communications. He is an adjunct instructor in the Marketing and Public Relations Department of New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies, an adjunct professor in the Advertising Marketing Communications Department of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and has guest-lectured on public relations at Marymount Manhattan College and NYU’s School of Continuing Education Management Institute’s Summer Institute of Public Relations.
