After more than 25 years in supervision, management and leadership in public relations agencies of various sizes, I founded Jacobs Communications Consulting, LLC.

What led me here?

While on the agency side I provided counsel to and led award-winning marketing communications programs for a number of blue-chip corporations, while focusing on staff training, business development, profitability, firm marketing, morale and retention.

But I always considered one of my proudest achievements the founding and leading of the agency training program at Marina Maher Communications, which was cited for excellence by PR industry magazine The Holmes Report.

I now focus on those areas where I believe there is a true need among small-to-medium sized PR and related communications agencies, in which I’ve had a successful track record and which reflect my greatest passions:

  • Helping these firms grow by honing their brands, attracting business from the kinds of clients which will help them fulfill their vision, increasing new business wins in competitive shoot-outs, and generating additional business from existing clients;
  • Improving employee performance, motivation, retention and attraction through training;
  • Enhancing individual, team and agency communications, leadership, performance and career development via coaching

In other words, I wanted to do what I wanted to do!
